Sam's Club, as part of their Teacher Rewards program, chose Groveport Elementary as their "School of the Year." Ten teachers from the school were chosen to receive $100 reward cards to purchase much needed classroom supplies. The teachers were presented with a certificate and the reward card at an awards ceremony on October 5th.
Through the Teacher Rewards program, the Wal-Mart Foundation will donate up to $4.5 million to provide 90,000 teachers across the United States with reward cards to help offset the cost of classroom expenses.
In appreciation, Todd Boggs, Principal at Groveport Elementary, said, "On behalf of the students and staff at Groveport Elementary, we would like to thank Sam's Club, Erin Glenn, and our community for recognizing our teachers for the hard work they do day in and day out. We appreciate the Teacher Rewards program and the dedication to so many teachers across the United States. We look forward to our continuing partnership opportunities in the future as well."
